Shout Out to the Ladies

Only 10 days until the Kindred Holiday Party!! Don’t forget to RSVP on the Evite and/or Facebook event.

I’ve been really excited to see a growing female presence at our box of late; last night’s 6:30 and 7:30 classes were dominated by women! So I just wanted to take a moment and give a shout out to the women of CrossFit Kindred–and CrossFit in general.

First of all–we’ve got some new faces at the box! Welcome, ladies!

Patricia “Pistol” Muya–showing the kettlebell what’s what.

Rebecca bringing her usual fierce determination to every WOD.

Kirsten (who joined us recently with her fiance Will), tackling her burpees alongside Kindred veteran Giselle.

And our growing female presence at CrossFit Kindred is part of a much larger movement of CrossFit women taking the world by storm.

Take Christmas Abbott, for example: Believe it or not, this 5’3″ bombshell and CrossFit Games competitor has now done what no other woman has been able to do before: become a NASCAR pit crew member. Watch the video in the article link to see her in action!

Can I get a “What-What?”

Today’s WOD:

5X2 3-Stop Snatch Pull + Hi-Hang Snatch (full squat) – heavy but perfect, rest 60 sec.

12 minute AMRAP of:
50 Double-Unders
7 Hang Power Snatches 95/65#
7 Snatch Balances 95/65#
